Local residents were digging out from another snowstorm in Wantagh-Seaford on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, 12 inches of snow had fallen in Levittown as of 10:50 a.m. A specific measurement for Wantagh-Seaford was not available.

Joe Koonge, who has lived in Wantagh for 28 years, was shoveling a path from his sidewalk and driveway to the street, and he said he was frustrated with the plows, which were complicating his efforts.

“People clear their entrances,” he said. “The trucks come later on and block the entrances again. We’ve been complaining for years to the [Town of Hempstead]. I'm trying to get to work.”

Mike DeLorenzo, a 31-year resident of Wantagh, said he envies his son, who recently moved to Scottsdale, Ariz. “It’s sounding better and better to me,” he said.

Anthony Simone, of Seaford, he was shoveling his parents’ property since they’re out of town. “It’s been a tough winter,” he said. “This snow is really heavy, so we’re kind of breaking out backs out here.”
