On July 24, more than 50 West Hempstead residents gathered at Echo Park for a fun night of tunes performed by Johnny Cash cover band Walking the Line.
The seven-piece band — which includes singer/guitarist Tom Cavanagh in the role of Johnny Cash — took residents on a memorable musical journey.
Music filled the air as the band played a variety of Cash’s country and rock ‘n’ roll classics, from “Folsom Prison Blues” to “Jackson.” Walking the Line, while maintaining an authentic Cash sound, moved and excited residents with a number of beloved songs and recreated the look and feel of a Johnny Cash concert.
