Chestnut Street holds technology fair

Posted

Who can identify beginning, middle and ending sounds? How are our kindergarten students composing and decomposing numbers? How are students developing language skills?

The answers to these and other questions were on display at the Technology Fair held at the Chesnut Street School in West Hempstead on May 10. Students demonstrated the various uses of technology that have enhanced their learning. Thanks to various grants and judicious use of budget money, students have had the opportunity to learn with interactive projectors, iTouches, iPads and netbooks.

The district is using technology not for technology’s sake but to create an experience that is responsive and inspires personal investment fueled by questions and guided by safely-made mistakes.
