Kindergarten students at Chestnut Street School in West Hempstead recently completed a unit about helping in the community.
Students learned about jobs and how helpers are important to their community. Chestnut Street featured a variety of community helpers that included a physical therapist, comedian, aircraft pilot, firefighters and members of the Nassau County Police Department. The community helpers who were chosen are just a handful among many Chestnut Street parents and friends.
