Police investigate shooting in West Hempstead

Nassau County police are investigating a shooting on Aug. 10 in West Hempstead that left two men injured.

According to detectives, at 4:05 a.m., police officers responded to 119 Woodfield Road for the report of shots fired. Shortly after, police were notified that two men, ages 33 and 23, were at different hospitals with gun shot wounds to their legs. The injuries are considered non-life threatening, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
