Police: Two men wounded in Lakeview shooting

Nassau County Police are investigating a shooting in Lakeview on July 5 that left two men wounded.

According to detectives, the assault occurred around 1:00 a.m. Detectives said that the two male victims, ages 19 and 18, were outside a home on Jefferson Avenue when an unknown black SUV-type vehicle pulled up and began shooting.

The 19-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg, and the 18-year-old was wounded in the right thigh. The vehicle fled in an unknown direction.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where they were treated and later released. There is no further description of the vehicle.
