Q: Why are you running for another term on the board?
A: To see the implementation of the work done by the members of the Strategic Planning Council is one of the reasons I want to continue on the Board of Education. It is exciting to see the great strides our district has made in technology. … Another term on the board will afford me the opportunity to see all the action plans developed by the Strategic Planning Council come to fruition.

Q: What are some big issues you plan to tackle if reelected?

A: Developing budgets that provide for a comprehensive educational experience for our children as we navigate through our economic difficulties will be our biggest concern over the next few years. … Providing a well-rounded academic and extracurricular program for our children while recognizing the financial burden on our whole community will also continue to challenge the [board] every year.

Q: Why vote for you?
A: To balance wise stewardship of public funds with the educational needs of our student population is the most important role of a school board trustee. I hope my 12 years of experience in school board governance will be beneficial to our school district’s leadership team in meeting our goals successfully.
