Schooling West Hempstead students on safe driving

Posted

On Sept. 12, West Hempstead High School students took part in District Attorney Kathleen Rice’s safe driving education program, “Choices and Consequences,” which teaches teenagers about the dangers of drunk, distracted, and reckless driving. The program features a skit where students act out a driving scenario where passengers encourage the driver to drink and engage in other reckless driving and testimony from a young person whose life has been permanently affected by reckless driving.
