Students celebrate the fall harvest with pumpkins

Thanks to the Maurice W. Downing Primary School PTA, students in kindergarten through second grade had the opportunity to participate in a “Pumpkin Patch” event and choose pumpkins to decorate and take home.
Meanwhile, in the West Hempstead school district, kindergarten students enjoyed their own pumpkin picking in the field at the Chestnut Street School last Thursday.
