The Madison Theatre welcomes Long Island Masterworks in a musial adaptation of Becket's gripping story

The fascinating story of the martyrdom of the infamous medieval Saint Thomas Becket, a close friend of King Henry II, comes to life on stage, in an operatic production, as part of the Madison Theatre’s Family Series. Created by Bernard D. Kennedy and performed by Long Island Masterworks, the production features music by Verdi, Gounod, Massenet and others, with English text.

‘Saddles and Sunshine’

Galloping ponies, singing bowling pin and dancing boxes will have families up on their feet, clapping and singing along with the Paper Bag Players’ in their new show. It’s a rip-roaring, western hoedown, as the ensemble takes everyone along on a series of vignettes to the Old West, a Country Fair and a Bowling Alley. The troupe entertains with funny stories, charming characters, songs, and those acclaimed paper bag sets.

Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra
Celebrate “Christmas with the Boston Pops” when Conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. The beloved orchestra is accompanied by vocal sensation Five by Design, for a holiday concert that is filled with the joy of the season. Boston Pops will perform their signature “Sleigh Ride,” a suite from The Nutcracker, and other Yuletide favorites. Five by Design joins with the Pops on such holiday classics such as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Silver Bells” and of course, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” A holiday sing-along brings this special performance to a close.
