W.H. Historical Society gears up for another season

The West Hempstead Historical Society recently unveiled its summer project — a collection of 40 framed and labeled photos from the archives displayed on the walls of the West Hempstead Public Library’s Conference Room — at its Sept. 18 meeting.

Historical Society members also celebrated the third annual “Back To School” historical display, which focused on Eagle Avenue/Marian Delaney School on the library’s main floor this year.

The society also filmed a documentary on the history of the “Lakeview Train Depot and Vicinity,” which will hopefully be available for public viewing in March 2014 at the library.
