Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s annual circus extravaganza is headed to Nassau Coliseum next week with its newest incarnation of the supersized spectacle. This year, the circus’s creative team – led by producers Nicole and Alana Feld – offers “Built to Amaze!, a look at what’s involved in ‘building’ the circus, from opening shipping crates to the finished construction. In the process, the audience will see the mind-blowing acts that are a staple of the Ringling Bros tradition.
Featuring an international cast of 110 performers representing 17 countries, with an array of animal acts, audiences can expect to see elaborate stunts, high wire acts, cavorting clowns, and all sorts of daredevil routines. Everyone will be transported by the colorful circus paraphernalia that unfolds from packing crates right before their eyes, Wednesday through Sunday, March 13-17.
“Ringling Bros. Presents Built To Amaze! takes a child’s curiosity of how things all around us work by showcasing the very best performers from around the world, both human and animal,” said Nicole Feld, “Built to Amaze is a blast of excitement that will leave audiences cheering for their favorite performers.”
Andre McClain, accompanied by his horse Comanche, takes the reins as ringmaster this year, as he leads his funny and mischievous ‘circus supervisors” to construct ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’. “This is a show that’s full of energy from beginning to end,” McClain, said.”Built to Amaze is truly amazing.”
