The Baldwin Chamber of Commerce hosted a multi-Chamber networking event on June 15 at Sonny's Canal House. Representatives from the Oceanside, Freeport and East Rockaway Chambers attended the outdoor, luau-themed meeting to trade tips on how to improve business networking.

"Besides being an obvious benefit to networking, I did learn a lot as co-president of the Baldwin Chamber from the other members, especially from Freeport," said Erik Mahler.

Charlie Hirschberg, Second Vice President of the Freeport Chamber, had spoken about how the organization sends out a newsletter, and, each month, profiles one of its members. This is done in conjunction with their solid community outreach and business networking, Hirschberg said.

The 47 attendees at the June 15 event tripled the average attendance for a Baldwin Chamber meeting in June.
