A Baldwin resident was struck and killed crossing Sunrise Highway last night, Nassau First Squad detectives reported. Two residents were also hit and are in stable condition.

According to detectives, three Baldwin residents — Samantha Koch, 20; Bryan McNeil, 25; and Kate McNeil, 20 — were crossing Sunrise Highway near Central Avenue when a 2000 Chevy, being driven by Allen Seinetar, 55, of Wading River, struck the three of them at around 10:57 p.m.

Kate McNeil was rushed to South Nassau Communities Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Bryan McNeil and Koch are in stable condition at Nassau University Medical Center.

Westbound Sunrise Highway between Harrison Avenue and Central Avenue was closed early Thursday morning as officials investigated the scene.
