Nicole Gilardi, left, Ryan Franzese and Pat and Allison Gilardi were calm in the presence of two ghouls. The Gilardi family was well-known for their Halloween displays when they lived in Rockville Centre and have now resurrected the tradition at their new home in Baldwin.

A host of spooky and haunted houses rose from the dead in Baldwin last week. The most legitimately scary of these was certainly the Gilardi family display on Kings Parkway. A little less hair-raising was the Baldwin Halloween Fest held at Milburn Park. In addition to a parade of costumed kids and parents, the event featured kid-friendly stars like Mickey Mouse and Elmo.
