Convenience store robbed

Police are investigating the midnight robbery of a local convenience store by two subjects armed with a handgun on Sept. 3.

According to First Squad detectives, two males entered Parkview Convenience Store on Merrick Road and pushed an employee, who was alone at the time, out of the way and took money out of the register. The subjects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

Both subjects are described as male blacks in their late teens to early 20s. The first subject is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a green hooded sweat shirt, gray baggy sweatpants and a black doo-rag covering his face. The second is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with a thin build, wearing a red hooded sweat shirt, black pants and a red scarf covering his face.
