Imaginations take flight

Magic with glue and glitter at library’s fairy party

Posted

Tinkerbell would’ve been right at home.

Some magic, a little pixie dust, and a whole lot of glue and glitter settled in the Baldwin Public Library last weekend, when the kindergarten-aged set took over for a fairy party.

Some feathers, colored pencils and streamers also helped with the transformation — along with some moms and dads. The kids added some picturesque finishes to their costumes: images of flowers, butterflies and hearts were among the more popular decorations.

When the newly minted fairies were finished creating their wings and wands, they got to parade throughout the facility in their finery.

And all of them believed, because as everyone knows, it can be dangerous not to believe.
