An NYPD officer from North Baldwin was hospitalized after being dragged by a car while on duty in Brooklyn.

The officer, Dalsh Veve, 35, a plain-clothes officer from the 67th Precinct, was in critical condition following the June 3 incident.

According to authorities, during a traffic stop, Veve spoke with the driver and passengers who were seated inside a black Honda sedan that was parked by a fire hydrant. The car suddenly sped away, dragging Veve for three blocks before he feel free of the vehicle.

During the ordeal, Veve shot one of the suspects, a 15-year-old who, a short time later, walked into Brookdale Hospital with a gunshot to his face.

The vehicle, which was reported stolen in Valley Stream several days ago, was found abandoned nearby on 53rd Street in Brooklyn.

Veve went into surgery at Kings County Hospital on Sunday night. At press time, there was no word on his condition.
