Police seek information in shooting death of Baldwin man

Detectives with the Nassau County Homicide Squad are seeking information about a shooting Wednesday night that killed a 42-year-old Baldwin man.

Around 9:40 p.m. on May 18, the Freeport Police Department received a phone call from an unidentified caller reporting that a man was shot inside Aimes Collision, located at 68 Bennington Ave.

Upon arrival, officers found Christopher Mignone with gunshot wounds to the chest. They transported him to a local hospital where he died around 10:20 p.m.

The case is under investigation and detective request anyone with information regarding the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous.
