Purse snatched from senior outside Ace Hardware

A 65-year-old senior was targeted by robbers outside Ace Hardware on Aug. 12 reports First Squad Detectives. While sitting in her vehicle outside the story the 65-year-old was approached by a Hispanic male with a large build wearing a blue and white T-shirt, blue jeans, black face mask and white wristwatch, who attempted to district her by saying something was wrong with her car tire.

When the older woman got out to check on the condition of her tire a Hispanic woman with a large build, wearing a white and green shirt, blue pants and black face mask took the woman’s purse out of her car, taking the purse which contained cash and numerous credit cards. Both ran westbound through the parking lot of 923 Atlantic Avenue.

Detectives are requesting anyone with information regarding this incident or if they can identify the pictured subjects to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-Tips. All callers will remain unidentified.
