This week I received a postcard that was misleading and will make residents think that District 24 supports Nat Patel. District 24 has never supported any candidate past or present. more

Recently, two newly elected state assembly members ran a job fair at Molloy College. From what I hear, it was well worth the effort for all concerned and mainly aimed at getting veterans jobs. more

I applaud the Herald’s recent editorial (“Village tax hike should be the last for a while,” April 19-25) urging village officials to take a hard look at the village finances before considering another tax increase. more

Referring to your editorial in the April 19-25 edition of the Herald, (“Village tax hike should be the last for a while,”) I do agree with your comments but would like to stress the special financial burden placed on seniors in the village. more

Since we are “setting the record straight” with regard to the flood maps put into effect in Valley Stream in 2009, I thought I would add a few items that were left out (“Setting the record straight on flood maps,” April 26-May 2).  more
