Criminal partners Marquis Jones, 24, of Hempstead, and Victor Caputo, 22, of Corona, thought they got away, scot-free, with a very big crime. According to the Nassau County Police’s 5th Precinct, on March 25, Jones went to the Chase Bank, on Linden Boulevard in Elmont, and cashed three counterfeit checks for an undisclosed amount of cash. On April 22, Jones went to the same bank and presented a fraudulent withdrawal slip, receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.  more
Lisa Johannes, 18, was arrested on May 5, at 2:30 p.m., after attacking her boyfriend with a razor blade she pulled from her waistband. According to the Nassau County Police Department’s 5th Precinct, Johannes, of Seville Street in Elmont, was involved in an argument with her 21-year-old boyfriend that escalated in side of her home, when she grabbed a razor blade. more
