Lawrence student named Student of the Quarter

Iris Guevara-Inbriano, a Lawrence School District, was named a Student of the Quarter at Nassau BOCES Barry Tech Career and Technical Education High School in Westbury. Guevara-Inbriano was recognized for her grades, attendance and work ethic. more

The certified nursing assistant program at Lawrence included 16 students who are seeking a career in the health care after graduation. Lawrence High School students complete first year of BOCES learning

Sixteen is the number of Lawrence High School juniors who have completed the inaugural year of the certified nursing assistant program, a two-year educational track in conjunction with the Nassau BOCES Barry Tech campus in Westbury that aims to have students obtain a nursing assistant certificate as they earn a high school diploma. more

Eric Scott, a groundskeeper for the Hewlett-Woodmere School District, injured his left arm in a 2002 snowmobile accident upstate near Binghamton, and has had two surgeries to repair three of the nerves in his arm using nerves from his torso. more
