The company that owns Twin Rinks — an ice skating facility in Eisenhower Park that opened just over a year ago — has filed for bankruptcy and plans to sell all its assets, But indicated that the facility will remain up and running until new ownership takes over.

All Nassau County parks and outdoor ice rinks would close at 4 p.m. on Monday and re-open when the weather allows, announced County Executive Ed Mangano. All regularly scheduled county events on Monday evening and throughout Tuesday are cancelled, according to a county news release. The county aquatic center in East Meadow and rifle range in Uniondale are also slated to close at 4 p.m. The Nassau County Correctional Center will stop visiting hours from noon on Monday and to Thursday morning.
