Annual SIBSPlace Auction brings in almost $300K

Thanks to South Nassau Communities Hospital children who have a sibling or parent with cancer or another devastating illness have a place to go for counseling, therapy or just to find someone who understands. The program is called SIBSPlace and it is in its 16th year.

On May 7th the founder, the board of directors, friends and supporters of SIBSPlace gathered at the Seawane County Club for several auctions and a night of fun, the proceeds going to support SIBSPlace.

Director of SIBS, Suzanne Kornblatt said, “We had about 250 people.”

South Nassau Special Events Manager Lynne Nardone said the auction brought in almost $300,000.

The live auction included Two Tickets to see Hamilton on Broadway, Dinner at the Friars Club and a Town Car, Diamond Jewelry, an In home dinner with South Nassau Communities Hospital Executive Chef Stephen Bello, SIP and SOAR through the Napa Valley and a North Fork getaway for two couples”

The silent auction featured Jewelry, a Weber Grill, a Leo Messi signed soccer jersey, four field level Mets tickets, a Corkbuzz Wine Class in NYC for eight and two tickets for a party suite at Citi Field with former Mets stars.
