A parade and a festival mark Halloween

There was a parade in Oceanside and a Boo-Tacular festival in Island Park and both brought out the ghosts, goblins, witches, and super heroes to strut their stuff. The weather cooperated bringing bright sunshine and warmer temperatures.

It was the first time Island Park put on this kind of festival and judging from the kids it was a big success. Everyone loved the “Hayride”.

The Department of Community Activities (DOCA) parade in Oceanside run jointly with the Oceanside Kiwanis Club was also a success.

The costumed wonders paraded around No. 6 School.
