The Hempstead Police Department, the Bureau of Special Operations and the State Liquor Authority have arrested 16 people including Brandon Sherman, 19, of Kent Boulevard, Island Park, on charges of serving alcohol to an undercover agent who was under 21 years of age, and one person on a disorderly conduct charge.

The arrests took place at three Hempstead area bars, McHebes, The Dizzy Lizard and Bangers all located on Fulton Avenue on Sept. 4 at 2:45 a.m. Sherman was taken into custody at the Dizzy Lizard.

Sherman and the others will face prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage and unlawful dealing with a child charges, and be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on September 22.
