Anyone who has dieted for weight loss knows how frustrating it can be. Most plans start with a slow loss, and the person becomes discouraged, has low energy, feels deprived, and not long after, loses his or her willpower.

Introducing a unique concept in weight control, Dr. Bo’s Diet lays claim to a 20 to 30-pound weight loss in the first 30 days. Whether you are male or female, and want to take off 20 or 200 pounds, the initial weight loss of up to a pound a day will take place within the first month. Exercise is not required.

Dr. Bo’s Diet uses two tools: an FDA-approved, physician-monitored medication, and a personalized, nutritious, easy-to-follow, low calorie food plan. The medication, which is given in a low dosage and is not an amphetamine, is designed to reverse the body’s natural order in dealing with a reduction in calorie intake. It targets fat rather than muscle.

Since the breaking down of a pound of fat yields approximately 3,500 calories, the person is provided with extra energy, feeling satisfied (not hungry), with an improved mood level. Dr. Bo’s Diet helps break down the “abnormal” stored fat, and thus, sculpts the body.

Two objectives are in play — a rapid weight loss that jumpstarts the diet, thereby providing great motivation and drive, and a plan to keep the weight off. Dr. Bo’s Diet is a 10-week program, divided into three phases.

The first phase, which is four weeks, is when the medication and diet plan are administered, and the fast weight loss takes place. After that, the medication is stopped and new types of food, greater quantities of food, and methods of preparing food are re-introduced in a way that won’t cause weight gain. During phase two and three (each three weeks), certain steps are taken to reset the metabolism, thus ensuring that the weight stays off — always the biggest challenge in weight loss programs.

Dr. Bo Rosenblat is a nationally recognized physician, board certified in emergency medicine. Through extensive research, he designed his weight loss plan after he became concerned that so many of his overweight patients were developing serious, if not life-threatening, health problems. These included heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and elevated cholesterol.

Dr. Bo has written numerous articles on a variety of topics for scientific journals and online medical web sites. He attended Columbia University in New York for his undergraduate degree, and received his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook. He is a clinical assistant professor at the Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine. His New York offices are located in Cedarhurst, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. Each location has medical doctors, physician’s assistants and weight loss specialists.
