The Island Park Civic Association hosted a “Hug a Bunny” night at Miami Nights restaurant on March 27. For a $10 donation and a stuffed bunny you enjoyed drinks and food.
Next month children in area hospitals will be enjoying their new stuffed bunny toy. Secretary Debra Green Rothman said “We will be distributing the collected bunnies on April 2 to the children at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, along with Tim Matejka, VP Development and Linn Bert, of the pediatric unit. (We are also) setting up appointments with Winthrop hospital — since we collected almost 100 bunnies.”
