Oceanside burglar nabbed

An Oceanside man was arrested last Saturday for allegedly breaking into the Lucky 7 convenience store at 2664 Long Beach Road.

According to police, officers responded to a burglary alarm on May 22, at 3:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found the front glass door smashed. While searching the store, police said they found and arrested 20-year-old Patrick McHale, 20, of 2638 Locust Ave. Two other males fled the scene with a laptop computer and cigarettes before officers arrived at the scene, police said.

McHale is charged with third degree burglary and third degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on May 23.
