Criminal Mischief

On March 19, someone keyed a 2007 Jeep parked on Anchor Avenue in Oceanside.

On March 13, the bank manager at Bank of America, 147 Long Beach Road in Island Park, reported to police that he noticed damage to the lock of the exterior door of the building.

On March 19, the victim reported that symbols had been spray painted on the rear and driver's side of his 1987 GMC van and on the loading door of L & R Fireplace and BBQ, 464 Merrick Road, in Oceanside.

The owner of the South Shore Record, 3067 New Street in Oceanside, reported that an employee did not return the company vehicle — a 2006 Ford Van — after work on March 19.

Larceny

On March 20, the victim reported answering an ad on Craig's List for rental of an apartment in Valley Stream and wired the required $1,600 to Nigeria from the Western Union at Waldbaum's on Long Beach Road in Oceanside. Police said she later discovered that the property was not for rent, but for sale through Century 21 Real Estate.

Someone removed a bicycle and a water utility pump from a shed adjacent to J & J Cleaners, 4010 Austin Boulevard in North Long Beach, on March 15.

The victim reported leaving her handbag in the girl's locker room at Oceanside High School, 3160 Skillman Avenue, on March 11. Police said she later found her handbag in the girl's bathroom, but that her jewelry was missing.

The store manager at Bath & Body Works, 3559 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, reported that a known customer left the store without paying for the items in her bag on March 21.

The victim reported that someone took assorted tools from his Dodge Truck parked at the Plantation Motel, 4040 Long Beach Road in North Long Beach, on March 11.

On March 11, someone broke the passenger side window of a 2003 Honda parked at South Nassau Communities Hospital, One Healthy Way in Oceanside, and stole two pairs of sunglasses.

On March 11, someone broke the passenger side window of a 2002 Infinity and stole a GPS on March 11.
