Courtney K was the first to cross the finish line at the Jimi Gubelli 5K in Island Park on June 30, completing the course around the village in 20:01.

The Jimi Gubelli Foundation held its annual 5K run/walk in Island Park on June 30.
The race is a fundraiser for the foundation, which gives scholarships to college-bound Island Park high school seniors. This year, Nick Saggio, Nicholas Pozin and Danielle Bolognini were the scholarship recipients.
And though it was hot, the runners were able to celebrate after the race at the annual party at Masone Beach.
