Island Park with residents was met with an unexpected appearance at Costello’s Ace Hardware parking lot on Feb. 1 after an 18-wheeler rolled into the ACE parking lot to unveil the GRAVE DIGGER monster truck. The appearance was to promote the upcoming Monster Jam event at UBS Arena in Elmont, which occurred this past weekend on Feb. 4. The appearance drew a large crowd, and attendees, especially children, were allowed to interact with the monster truck.
Peyton Green, a nine-year-old Island Park resident,well-known in the social media world, particularly on platforms like TikTok and Instagram where he goes by the name “famouspey” added an extra layer of excitement to the event.
