‘Wizard’ auditions in Island Park

The Island Park Theatre Group, in concert with the Island Park Union Free School District Recreation Department, announced auditions for “The Wizard of Oz” on Wed. and Thurs., Sept. 3 and 4 at 6:30 p.m. Children seven and older and adults, be prepared to sing and dance. Bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided; a CD player will also be available. The show is produced by John Cestaro, Barbra Rubin-Perry, Monica Gerand, Marti Renoud-Dipaola and Dana Feminella. The director is Andrew Upbin, musical director Reneé Socci, assistant director Barbra Rubin-Perry. Performance dates: November 14, 15, 21, 22 and 23. Show will be auditioned, rehearsed, and performed at Lincoln Orens Middle School, 150 Trafalgar Blvd., Island Park. Rehearsals begin Sept. 10.
