Seven arrested on drug charges
The Nassau County Police Department, the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency reported the arrests of several individuals between April 20 and April 23 for drug-related charges. more

The Long Island Rail Road will be implementing new train schedules beginning Monday, March 7 on several South Shore branches. The schedule adjusts some off-peak and weekend trains because of ongoing and upcoming construction projects. more
Town of Hempstead officials, including, from left, Councilman Gary Hudes, Supervisor Anthony Santino and Clerk Nasrin Ahmad, came to the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road station to announce a plan that would increase the number of resident-only spaces in commuter parking lots from 2,400 to 6,400. Parking stickers will cost residents $10 a year.
