Sports party fundraiser
On March 4 from 7 p.m. to midnight, the Progressive School of Long Island will host its 12th annual Sports Party Fundraiser at Sportime Lynbrook on Merrick Road. Adults and children can enjoy a night of tennis, basketball, hockey, lacrosse and dodge ball. Tennis professionals will be available for instruction and pizza will be provided. The number 45 didn’t hold much significance to Brittany Fuller when she chose it as a high school sophomore. More than a decade later, it now hangs on the wall in the small gym at East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School, a tribute to her success on the court. more
