On Aug. 1, over 100 people were gathered under the setting sun at the Lynbrook Village Pool in Greis Park. The pool was packed with people swimming laps back and forth, all of them doing so to raise money for cancer research as part of the 9th annual Lynbrook Swim Across America.

Downtown Lynbrook is about to get a musical upgrade. Over the next few months, village officials will be moving forward with a plan to install wireless speakers that will play music throughout the shopping areas in Lynbrook. Installation is expected to begin within 60 days.
