The Malverne Volunteer Ambulance Corp is gearing up for the holidays with a huge Christmas basket that can be yours! The basket is donated in memory of Edith C. Heinsohn, a 55-year resident of Malverne who died last year after a 10-year battle with Alzheimers. More than 30 holiday items are included in this festive basket. The MVAC will be accepting donations for tickets; $1 each; six for $5; 12 for $10; 24 for $20. Your donations are tax deductible. The winning ticket will be drawn at the conclusion of the Lighting of Malverne on Dec. 4. Please contact MVAC President Joe Karam at (516) 593-9353.
