More than 300 Kennedy High School graduates spanning five decades gathered on Oct. 21 at Mulcahey’s Pub and Concert Hall in Wantagh for a night of drinks, music and fundraising, while catching up with old friends. Students at Birch Elementary School in Merrick recently took part in the Valentines for Vets program. Through this program, which the Town of Hempstead instituted in 2001, students create valentines to send to veterans at local Veterans Affairs hospitals.
