At the final Ronald Winchester Walk of Honor, Rockville Centre Deputy Mayor Kathy Baxley and Trustee Katie Conlon presented a proclamation Saturday afternoon to Marianna Winchester, an Oceanside Middle School phys. ed. teacher and the mother of the late Marine First Lt. Ronald Winchester, who died during his second tour in Iraq in 2004. The annual walk has raised funds for organizations including the First Marine Division Association Scholarship Fund, the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, and America’s VetDogs.
