I think it is time that the Students of South Side High School come to grips with the fact that a $32+ Million Bond issue which would impose a $200 yearly increase for thirty years to the School Taxes for every household in Rockville Centre. Most SSHS students who will graduate in the future will go on to college (if affordable), join the military (if we still have one) or just move on to greener pastures (if the planet still has any left).

My point is that those of us who would have to suffer another economic burdon by remaining here in "Good Old RVC" with an additional $200 yearly cost around our necks, additional tax increases that are bound to be levied upon us, in thirty yeas, Gas price increases, Food cost increases and an economy thart will STILL be struggling to pay the National debt.

To be BLUNT kids, maybe your parents have the dough to flip in $200 increase a year just to have you run around on artificial turf for a couple of ball games, or track meets, and build additional classrooms on to the current High School so you will "have more space" to Twitter and Tweet each other more comfortably, but those of us who are Senior Citizens on fixed incomes, or victims of a battered economy, unemployed or financially strapped, just cannot afford what you consider needed niceties. We ALL have to make sacrifices in this Country today. Each penny counts to most of us. $32+ Million dollars is OUTRAGEOUS !!!!!

I suggest that we all just sit back and realize the national economic situation and call a 5 year moratorium on spending.

Do with what we have and hope that the future will be better and we can afford things again soon. Don't use President Obama's failed policies on spending, or sooner than we know, the School budget will be in the "Trillions of Dollars". I urge the RVC Voters to vote "NO" on March 19th.
