They always mention labor costs per say..........

Might I remind everyone here on LI we Atlantic Express school bus drivers do not have sick days or personal days,

are only off when the school are closed and only paid when they are open.

We get 11 paid holidays and do not get paid for the numerous half days, Jewish holidays,snow days etc.

To blame this debacle on the workers is a insult and a travesty.

Might I remind everyone that the superintendents make upwards of 500k plus generous pensions and perks as does the entire Board of Education workers.

Those contractors such as lunchroom aides and school bus drivers etc get the spoils. (leftovers)

Note that this, as well as much budget breaking issues leave the school kids to suffer as well as put thousands out of work.

The only winners year after year are the Board of Education at the expense of the students.

If anyone noticed we are not graduating rocket scientists in the past 20 years, scholastically going from #1 to #14 in math and sciences and further down the ladder to # 28 in academics overall.
