Report Inappropriate Comments

My family voted YES only to find out within days after the budget was passed the Malverne School District is cutting back by removing school bus monitors. As a parent with several children in the school system for many years I believe this to be a real safety issue. Over the years my children have told me stories of misconduct on the bus and I can't imagine how these actions would have played out if there wasn't an adult monitor. Not to mention how many times young children fall asleep on the bus. The driver can't possibly divert his attention to deal with these matters.

I hope other parents speak up and question this poor decision.
