The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory up until 6 p.m. for Long Island. Nassau County could see 2 to 4 inches of snow, while Suffolk County could get 4 to 8 inches. The Long Island Rail Road and its customers may suffer minor delays on other branches during the morning rush hour and should give themselves extra time getting to the stations.

The first snow storm of 2016 dropped nearly two feet of snow on Rockville Centre and shut down the village for most of the weekend. Mayor Francis X. Murray declared a state of emergency on Saturday, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo shut down all roads on Long Island.
