Seaford Fire Department volunteers and an officer from the Nassau County Police Department were honored at Law and Order Night.

March 15 was a night of honor at Seaford American Legion Post 1132. Leaders of veterans’ organization celebrated the contributions of outstanding local law enforcement and firefighter personnel on Law and Order Night. A night of honor at the Legion

Nassau County Police officers, Julio Chaves of the 2nd Precinct, and Michael Valela, Joseph Clougher and Thomas Reed of the 7th Precinct, were recognized at Law and Order Night on March 16 at the Seaford American Legion, for their quick thinking and first responder skills. Emergency medical technicians Kristy Juliano, Felice Blizzarro and Thomas Bremen were also acknowledged for their life-saving actions. more

New York Senator Charles Schumer announced on Monday his push to increase funding for grant programs that would buy Long Island volunteer fire departments modern and essential equipment. The senator met with various members of the fire service at the Seaford Fire Department’s headquarters on Southard Avenue on Monday to discuss his plan of action. more
