For the protection of motorists, closure of all eastbound travel lanes on Front Street/NY Route 102 between William Street in Hempstead Village and NY Route 24/Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow in the Town of Hempstead, are now in effect and will continue each weekday night for approximately three weeks, weather permitting. Eastbound travel lanes are being closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and no on-street parking is permitted. Violators will be towed. To minimize the impact on traffic, westbound travel lanes remain open to motorists. more
