A Nassau County Supreme Court judge upheld a temporary restraining order prohibiting Shake a Paw stores in Lynbrook and Hicksville from purchasing new puppies they would then turn around and sell. Protesters demonstrated outside the Lynbrook store in October 2020 after state Attorney General Letitia James claimed the operation knowingly sold sick dogs.
