Holy Trinity’s Caroline Brown, a Baldwin resident, competed at the Nassau Suffolk Catholic High School Athletic Association indoor track championships on Jan. 27. The senior took home wins in both the 3000- and 1500-meter races, and was also awarded tournament MVP honors.

According to Holy Trinity, Brown won the 1500m for the second year in a row. This year, she finished with a time of 4:51.08 — over seven seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Her win in the 3000m came with a time of 10:20.60 — over five seconds ahead of her closest
competition. The meet ended with Brown’s recognition as MVP of the league.

Brown has already committed to running for SUNY Buffalo next year.
