The Nassau County Bar Association President Marc Gann announced last week that he presented one of his 2011 President’s Awards to Warren S. Hoffman of East Meadow, in recognition for his extraordinary hard work and dedication as the chair of the Grievance Committee of the Bar Association.

The NCBA Grievance Committee officially reviews and judges formal legal grievance filings. As chair, Hoffman stepped up to the plate to help out when staff were on unexpected extended leave. “Warren took on a tremendous amount of administrative responsibility, and kept this important community service operational,” Gann said.

Hoffman practices matrimonial/family law, business transactions and litigation, real estate law, criminal law and wills, trust and estates as a partner at the Mineola law firm Hoffman & Behar, LLP. He regularly writes articles, lectures and is quoted on radio, television and print media.  In addition, Hoffman serves on the NCBA Board of Directors and the Judiciary Committee. He also serves on the Paralegal Advisory Committee of Nassau County Community College. In his spare time he provides pro bono legal services for indigent individuals and is a private pilot.

In addition to his law firm, Hoffman owns two divorce mediation companies, Divorce/Separation Mediation Services of Long Island and Rainbow Mediation Center, the latter focusing on the LGBT community. He is a graduate of New York University and receives his law degree from Hofstra University Law School.
