Floral Park Memorial High School English teacher Kaitlyn Mosie received the Gazzola Fellowship Award at the Nassau Region PTA Presidents-Principals Dinner on Nov. 21.

The award provides educators an opportunity to improve their teaching skills, update their professional knowledge and expand their professional perspectives. It was named to honor a "Master Teacher," Richard Gazzola, for his many years of service on the New York State PTA Board of Directors and is presented to teachers who are pursuing advanced graduate study.

Mosie will apply the award toward the Instructional Leadership Doctoral Program at St. John's University, in which she is currently enrolled as a first-year student.

Principal Dr. Kathleen Sottile, English Chairperson Kevin Sullivan and the entire school community at Floral Park Memorial wish to congratulate Kaitlyn Mosie on this "outstanding achievement."
